Audi Hungaria has reached another significant production milestone: the 100,000th CUPRA Terramar has rolled off the assembly line, the company announced. The Cosmos Blue anniversary model was built for the Hungarian market. Series production of the model began in 2024, and it reached this milestone in just over a year.
The collaboration between CUPRA and Audi Hungaria dates back to before the start of Terramar series production, as the CUPRA Formentor VZ5 models are also powered by a five-cylinder gasoline engine from Győr, northwestern Hungary.
“The production of the 100,000th CUPRA Terramar is an excellent example of how the flexibility of the Győr plant meets the commitment of our employees. This achievement strengthens not only our manufacturing capabilities but also Audi Hungaria’s long-term competitiveness,” said Michael Breme, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria.
The CUPRA Terramar is manufactured on the same production line as the Audi Q3 family.
The CUPRA Terramar vehicle manufacturing project began in 2021, and series production of the model started in Győr in 2024. The Terramar is built on the MQB platform developed by Volkswagen, supplemented with CUPRA-specific elements. The model’s integration into the existing production system resulted in significant synergies and outstanding cost efficiency—the introduction of a completely new model was achieved without building a new hall or halting production. In 2025, over 71,000 CUPRA Terramars were produced in Győr.

“I congratulate my colleagues on the production of the 100,000th CUPRA Terramar. This clearly demonstrates their high level of expertise and commitment. I am confident that the next 100,000 units will be produced with the same outstanding quality and expertise—now under my leadership,” said Jürgen Russer, the new board member responsible for the Audi Hungaria vehicle plant.
“The Terramar is popular not only across Europe but also in Hungary. In its first full year,
the model sold over 400 units domestically, making it the top-selling model in the CUPRA lineup.
The key to its success lies in the product itself: in addition to its unique yet universally appealing design, this is embodied by the refined, high-quality interior solutions, in the creation of which Audi Hungaria plays the leading role,” summarized Ádám Rozgonyi, CUPRA’s brand director in Hungary.

A special model is also being produced at the Győr plant. The CUPRA Terramar Tribe Edition will be manufactured in this special version until the fall of 2026. This version embodies both the bold, edgy character of the CUPRA Tribe and the brand’s sustainability goals.
Innovation is also evident in the manufacturing process: the bucket seats are made using a 3D-knitting process, that creates the three-dimensional shape without cutting or sewing, thus eliminating textile waste.
The dashboard and air vents feature bio-based paint, while the premium alloy wheels are made from 20% recycled material and come in a striking Sulphur Green color. The copper-colored CUPRA logos and matte finish further enhance the model’s unique appearance.
