Former Rector of the College of Europe Federica Mogherini
“The left-liberal and People’s Party majority in the European Parliament once again showed its true colors at the House Committee meeting: it did not support the Patriots’ initiative to include the corruption scandal involving the former High Representative for Foreign Affairs on the agenda of next week’s EP plenary session,” Kinga Gál, the chair of the Fidesz-KDNP delegation to the European Parliament (EP) and first vice-chair of the Patriots for Europe faction announced in a post on her social media page on Wednesday.
MEP Kinga Gál stated that “just like last time,” as in the Ukrainian corruption scandal, they are again refusing to allow any debate on the corruption case involving Federica Mogherini, the former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and recently resigned rector of the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, or on the issue of Brussels-funded “civil society organizations” cooperating with the Palestinian Islamist terrorist group Hamas.
They want to sweep these sensitive issues under the carpet. This is unacceptable,”
she said.
Left-wing groups and the EPP have once again shown their true colours. At today’s CoP they refused to support @PatriotsEP proposal to put the EEAS corruption scandal and the case of Hamas interference in EU-funded NGOs in Gaza on next week’s plenary agenda.

The European people have a right to know the truth about the corruption cases in Brussels and how EU funds are being used to serve political or ideological interests, she said. The least the European Parliament could do is to hold an open debate on these issues, if the left wing did not prevent this for political reasons, Kinga Gál added in her post.
