If Angela Merkel was to ever set foot on Hungarian soil again, this would be considered an insult and an provocation of epic proportions by a large number of Hungarians. And yet, this is exactly what is planned for October 1, when the former Chancellor is set to visit Budapest as part of her European book tour.
The former German Chancellor’s visit to Hungary, aiming to promote her memoirs called “Freedom”, is beyond poor taste. It is not only the fact that Hungary and Hungarians have suffered a decade of abuse, sanctions, political blackmail and stigmatization because of the migration genie that she had let loose in Europe in 2015. The very fact that this politician is allowed to move freely across the Continent, singing odes over the ashes of our once peaceful lands like Nero over the smoldering ruins of Rome, is an insult to all the victims of her failed migration policies.
The delicacy of Merkel’s version of Buffalo Bill’s “Wild West Show” is that a rival publication is accompanying her self-aggrandizing opus magnum, Austrian author Gerald Grosz’ new book, “Merkel’s Work: Our Downfall.” In this Grosz calculates that immigration cost Austria alone €8 billion in additional expenses, while crime rates have also increased significantly. The book also highlights Germany, where there have been a series of terrorist attacks and violent crimes linked to mass immigration. Angela Merkel has actually destroyed this continent and more or less signed the death warrant for countries like Germany and Austria, Grosz states. He sees serious problems in the parallel societies that are developing instead of integration. The book cites several examples, including a case in Berlin where a 13-year-old student beat up his teacher with the following words: “Islam rules here, you faggot pig, you have no business here!”
According to the author, those who emphasized women’s rights and LGBTQ rights while supporting multicultural policies over the past decade have particularly betrayed their own ideals. One of the central themes of the book is the refutation of the myth of a shortage of skilled workers. According to Grosz, there has been talk for ten years about the need for skilled workers, but this hope has never been realized because, in his view, a significant proportion of immigrants are illiterate and only burden the social welfare system.

Merkel’s grip on German politics is still unchallenged – a single word from the former Chancellor is enough to make any current Berlin government to change course, stall reforms, or change the results of elections, such as in Thuringia in 2020. Everyone understands that her policies are untenable, even dangerous, yet the legacy parties are now too deeply invested in this fateful course to be able to turn back.
In view of the Merkelian captivity of German politics and public life, the Hungarian government would be reluctant to formally express their opposition to this charade at the CEU involving the chief architect of Europe’s cultural downfall. Germany is is till our largest trading partner, tens of thousands of jobs are dependent on maintaining the decorum with the largest economy in Europe. But the Hungarian conservative sphere would be well advised to distance themselves clearly and unambiguously from the person who has done more harm to European security and cohesion than any single person since the fall of the Iron Curtain.

Angela Merkel has shown no sign of regret over the thousands of innocent lives lost and broken in half since her unilateral decision to legitimize the migrant invasion as something inevitable, necessary and even beneficial. Her own behavior continues to be characterized by a lack of empathy and remorse, callousness, manipulation, and a grandiose sense of self-worth. Her personal irresponsible behavior and disregard for rules and the plight of others has now been institutionalized in the German-dominated European Union’s establishment, and Hungary has been at the receiving end of this political degradation for over a decade. Yet the ones most exposed to the effects of Merkel’s disastrous immigration policies and the demonization of her political opponents are ordinary Germans. And it is in solidarity with them in particular, with all the victims of brutal sexual violence, religious intolerance, terrorism and organized crime in Germany that I say to Angela Merkel – You are not welcome in Hungary!
