Leaders and representatives of the Patriots for Europe conservative political bloc have gathered in Budapest to show their support to their Hungarian ally, Viktor Orbán, ahead of the crucial April 12 Parliamentary elections.
Among the first to address the crowd at the Millenáris park in Central Budapest was Czech Foreign Minister, Petr Macinka, who said that Hungary was an inspiration for its neighbors in Central Europe, as well as for all who fight for conservative values. He has pointed out that Hungary was the first to stand up to radical leftist progressives in Europe, but at the same time, courage to defend our world against left-wing forces is growing across Europe, said the Czech politician made famous for his humorous comment towards Hillary Clinton during a recent panel discussion in Munich.

We are not the one’s waging the cultural wars, emphasized the Czech politician, these have been imposed on us, but we refuse to retreat from our values. The struggles we are engaged in are not against Europe – on the contrary, conservatives are working to preserve Europe in its original form and meaning, he said.
Referring to the Hungarian Prime Minister, Mr. Macinka said that every country has personalities who sometimes succeed in turning politics into stories of their very country. People who are able to become representatives of the nation itself. Such individuals are very rare, but they leave an indelible mark on history. There is one such man in Hungary, he is the country’s prime minister at the moment.
In his view, whenever Viktor Orbán enters the room, it is as if Hungary itself has entered. A Hungary that is confident, strong, rooted in its history and ready to shape the future,
added the Czech foreign minister.
Leader of the Dutch PVV party Geert Wilders went as far in his speech as saying that Viktor Orbán is a “lion in a continent led by sheep”. Someone who understands that a leader’s first duty is to lead its people, and not to pass on responsibility to unelected bureaucrats in Brussels. In the past 15 years, Hungary has become something extraordinary, a symbol of hope and sovereignty, he continued. That is why the EU leadership in Brussels wants Hungarians to elect a Prime Minister who they can control, someone who does not want to put Hungarian interest first. Hungary does not bow, and it never will, said the Dutch politician. Hungarians are descendants of heroes, because they are the children of the women of Eger, a reference to the siege of the castle of Eger in 1522, where the Ottoman invaders were defeated by the defenders, famously including women.

As during the anti-communist uprising in 1956, Hungary once again showed the world what courage really means, continued Wilders. You rose up against tyranny, and the spirit of this revolution was never crushed. It lives on to this day in Hungarian patriots. Hungarians are still the same people: bold, courageous, unbreakable, a nation that refuses to surrender, one that refuses to abandon its identity in the tsunami of migration and Islamization. They want safe streets, strong families, and want their children to grow up with Christian roots. That is what Viktor Orbán gave you, he made sure the Hungary continues to prosper as a free and sovereign nation, said the PVV leader.
Not only you, but Europe also needs Viktor Orbán’s leadership, across the continent millions are watching Hungary, claimed Wilders. They want a leader who defends its people, who defends them against illegal immigration.
Across Europe, Hungary is a beacon of hope: it signals that indeed, it is possible to defend our nations against Islamization, and it is possible to resist multiculturalism.
It is possible to be unashamed for the past and be masters of your own future. For 16 years, Hungary has been the beating heart of the European resistance. Hungary has inspired us, please continue to do so, give Viktor Orbán a resounding victory in the coming elections, closed his words Geert Wilders.
Santiago Abascal, leader of the Spanish Vox party was also among the guest speakers. In his view, Hungary is lucky to have a prime minister like Viktor Orbán, who keeps his election promises and works exclusively for the Hungarian interest. That is why they conspire against him in some political circles, because he does not want to force Hungarians to do that they did not vote for. He himself could have chosen the easier path, like leaders in many other European countries did. Some others have chosen the easy way, and when things go sour, their only excuse is that they were following Brussels’ wishes.

Viktor Orbán, on the contrary, is able to continue his work even when he is receiving death threats against his family, continued Mr. Abascal. I am here to thank him for stopping many of the “crazy” proposals of the European Commission, as a result of which he has managed to protect even Spain. Today Mr. Orbán is Europe’s real defender, and that is why the next elections in April will have far-reaching consequences for everyone in the EU. These election will affect all those who believe in sovereign nations and their cooperation in a free Europe. We do not want EU bureaucrats to lead, ones who penalize you if you do not open your borders for mass migration, for instance. We do not want EU bureaucrats who want to punish you for defending your children against woke madness. We do not want a green, European People’s Party dominated Brussels, who interfere in national elections, and ones who tell tech companies to censor us. Europe is not Brussels. Europe consists of sovereign nations such as Hungary or Spain. The Hungarian prime minister is the man who showed that all this is possible, and this is precisely why they want to get rid of him, pointed out the Vox leader.
The next elections are important for us too, said Mr. Abascal. We are with you and we support Viktor Orbán. Do not let Brussels puppets steal everything that you have achieved, he warned. It is Viktor Orbán who put Hungary into the center of the world, Abascal concluded.

After his earlier book launch in Budapest, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini also joined his Patriot counterparts on stage. I trust that Hungarians will decide with Hungarian national interest on their mind at the next elections, he said. They will say “yes” to sovereignty, their 1000 years old sovereignty, to safe borders and to a future that their own children can decide for themselves.
Budapest should not become Brussels’ “forward garrison”.
The Italian politician also thanked the Hungarian prime minister for reminding everyone through his example that true politics is about serving others, not about subjugating them. His party, the Lega, believes that Europe must return to a Europe of free and sovereign nations instead of becoming a superstate of bankers and bureaucrats. All sovereign nations should receive the respect they deserve, he emphasized. Salvini also thanked Hungarian conservatives for their support during the five years of lawfare against him initiated by his political opponents simply because he protected the borders of Europe. Finally he warned that free national elections are worth much more than George Soros’ billions, and are stronger than President Zelenskyy’s threats.
Finally, the leader of France’s National Rally, Marine Le Pen took to the stage. In her opinion, Hungary has become a symbol across Europe. A symbol of a proud and sovereign people’s resistance to oppression—stated Le Pen at the beginning of her speech.

Hungary achieved this status under the leadership of none other than Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who has been championing this political vision for sixteen years now. On the issues of immigration, identity, and sovereignty, he has not backed down even under the most difficult circumstances. That is why I can proudly say that Viktor is not only a partner and ally in the Patriots for Europe coalition, but also a friend. And that is not so common in politics,” Marine Le Pen praised Viktor Orbán.
“With the patriots, we do not represent or defend some abstract idea of Europe, but rather a mosaic of living, united nations capable of building mutually beneficial and forward-looking partnerships,” she emphasized. “We do not defend a shameful conception of identity in which treating immigration as a symptom is the solution to our economic and demographic difficulties. On the contrary! We represent a vitality that springs from an awareness of our historical and cultural heritage, and which we pass on to our children with devotion,” emphasized Marine Le Pen.

We are not defending a bureaucratic Europe, where a narrow technocratic minority imposes norms and ideologies contrary to the will of the people, but rather the demanding, difficult, and indispensable practice of democracy, which is tirelessly built on the will of the people, not on the dreams of a pseudo-elite,”
the French politician stated. After decades of struggle, we are on the verge of victory in this great political battle. Viktor Orbán, who will once again stand before Hungarian voters on April 12, is a visionary leader and, above all, a pioneer—Marine Le Pen emphasized. And you, Hungarian voters, will also be pioneers on April 12, she told Hungarian citizens. “You will be the first to vote in an electoral wave that will transform Europe in 2027. Next year, several large European countries will hold elections. Spain in August, Poland in October, Italy in December. According to numerous and consistent polls, these elections will undoubtedly redraw Europe’s political map,” the French politician explained.
