Minister of Defense Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky
NATO should remain a defense alliance, in line with its original intentions, emphasized the Minister of Defense in a video statement posted on Facebook after attending the North Atlantic Treaty Organization ministerial meeting in Brussels on Thursday.
Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said that at the meeting of NATO defense ministers, the U.S. representative used the expression “what lies ahead” to describe the coming of “NATO 3.0.” The global security situation has changed, and America is focusing on other priorities, he added.
Unfortunately, we are hearing news from home” that the war is continuing, claiming more victims, including another Hungarian victim, he said.
“In light of this, I emphasized at the meeting how important it is for NATO to remain a defense alliance, in line with its original intentions. Peace requires strength, and we will continue our work in NATO,” the politician said.
Attached to the video statement, he wrote: “Ukraine does not need more weapons, but sobriety and honest dialogue!”
