BMW has finally shown what we can expect from the new, all-electric iX3. The model will mark a milestone not only in terms of technology, but also geographically: the iX3 will be the first series production model built in Debrecen, totalcar.hu reports.
The Bavarian automaker already unveiled the new X3 with an internal combustion engine last year, but remained conspicuously silent about the electric version — until now.
A mysterious teaser video shared on Instagram finally gives us a glimpse of the iX3, that closely resembles the previously revealed Neue Klasse X concept.
The video reveals slim, vertical kidney grilles noticeably smaller than those on current BMW models, a distinctive lighting design between the headlights, and a rear wing shape, along with the signature Hofmeister kink, are all echoing the Neue Klasse X. Although the dark, moody video primarily focuses on lighting elements, the resemblance to the concept is unmistakable.

The official debut will take place at the Munich Motor Show on Friday 11:00 a.m., as revealed on the official social media page of the Debrecen BMW plant.
One thing is already certain: the iX3 is not only significant in terms of design, but also in terms of production.
It will be the first BMW to be manufactured entirely at the company’s Debrecen plant in eastern Hungary.
The Hungarian factory is being developed exclusively for the production of electric vehicles, and BMW plans to build up to 150,000 units of the iX3 annually. This is a major step not only for BMW, but also a significant milestone for Debrecen and for Hungary’s automotive industry. With the launch of this plant, Hungary becomes a key player in BMW’s electric future.
