Ningbo, China
Gábor Kelemen, international market expert at Visit Hungary, recently completed an official visit to Ningbo, China, where he held talks aimed at expanding tourism and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The goal of the visit was to deepen Hungary’s connection with China’s rapidly growing markets and position the country as an attractive destination for travelers from Ningbo. As Visit Hungary reports, the partnership promises mutual benefits: Hungary gains access to a new segment of travelers, potentially increasing inbound tourism and revenue, while Ningbo residents are offered new travel opportunities and a gateway to the Central European region.
Ningbo is emerging as a significant player on the international cultural and tourism map, supported by forward-looking policies and a rich cultural heritage.
Hungary and Ningbo have seen a marked strengthening of ties in recent years. As part of the China–CEE Expo, Hungary regularly showcases its innovation and trade potential, while the Hungarian National Promotion Center in Zhejiang Province has been promoting economic, cultural, and tourism cooperation. Direct flights between Ningbo and Budapest, along with high-level diplomatic visits, have further elevated the relationship and opened new horizons for collaboration.
