The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade called it unacceptable and outrageous that Ukraine had once again attacked the Druzhba oil pipeline, which plays a key role in supplying Hungary.
Early Monday morning, a Ukrainian drone attack hit a pumping station near Nikolskoye, Russia, which serves the Friendship oil pipeline. As a result, oil supplies to Hungary were halted. Experts are working around the clock to repair the transformer station, which is essential for operations, but it is not yet known when transit can resume.
Ukraine has once again attacked the oil pipeline leading to Hungary, cutting off supplies. This latest strike against our energy security is outrageous and unacceptable!
Russian Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin informed me that experts are working to restore the transformer…

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, responded to the incident on Facebook on Monday after his Ukrainian counterpart, Andriy Sibiha, called on Budapest to address its complaints to Moscow rather than Kyiv. The minister rejected this and emphasized:
First fact: Russia has been supplying crude oil to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline for decades. This is in Hungary’s interest. Second fact: Ukraine is attacking this pipeline, and Ukrainian attacks are causing regular interruptions in crude oil supplies. This is contrary to Hungary’s interests.”
The fact is that Ukraine attacked the pipeline which delivers oil to Hungary. https://t.co/YrbO1qFViJ

Szijjártó pointed out that, as foreign minister, Hungarian interests come first for him. At the same time, he also reminded that a significant part of Ukraine’s electricity supply comes from Hungary.
After talks with the Russian Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin, the minister reiterated:
This new attack on our energy security is outrageous and unacceptable! (…) Brussels and Kyiv have been trying to drag Hungary into the war in Ukraine for three and a half years, and the increasingly frequent Ukrainian attacks on our energy security are also aimed at this.”
Péter Szijjártó believes that the Hungarian government’s position is clear: “This is not our war, we have nothing to do with it, we want to stay out of it, and as long as we are in government, we will stay out of it!”
Finally, he sent a message to the Ukrainian leadership: “A reminder to Ukrainian decision-makers: electricity from Hungary plays a key role in Ukraine’s energy supply.”
